Meet Sarah!

Friday November 14th 2014

Dia daoibh!

My name is Sarah Allan. I was born on the 14th of February 1996, I’m a valentine’s baby! So that leaves me with 18 years of wisdom.

There are eight in the Allan family. I have five siblings. I’m number four! We are from a little town in Donegal called Raphoe.
So here they are, meet the Allan’s!

Left from right: Seán, Myself, Daddy Allan, Ciaran, Mammy Allan, Eoin, Katie and Fiona.

On the 1st of September I packed my bags and left little old Raphoe for Galway. I’m currently studying arts in NUIG and hope to finish my course with a degree in Spanish and Italian. I’m loving college life so far, it’s such an exciting and drastic change from the Leaving Cert and life in Donegal! I have been separated from all but one of these fabulous girlies who were great friends to me throughout my schools years and I wish them all the best in the future!

I’m devoted scouter and have been part of scouting Ireland for the past twelve years. I’m currently a cub leader and absolutely love it. The other leaders I work with are just wonderful and the children are a pleasure to look after. Here we are at the highest point on Arranmore Island in September!

I also sing with my parishes youth choir at Sunday masses. I have been with them since I was eight. I have always been a musical person, I love to sing! I taught myself guitar aged twelve and it hasn’t left my hand since. I also play Gaelic with my local club St. Marys, Convoy.

So that is a very short introduction into my life.

Until next time, Slán go fóill!
