Wellness Week: Tuesday 2nd – Thursday 4th Mayin Queen’s University Belfast

Monday May 1st 2017

Michaela Foundation and Little Penny Thoughts have teamed up to deliver a Wellness Week at Queen’s University encouraging people to prioritise their wellbeing especially in the lead up to exams.

Queen’s University School of Law building will play host to the inaugural Wellness Week 2nd – 4th May 2017.

Whilst the timing and location of the Wellness Week may suit QUB students best, students from other institutions and non-students are also most welcome to attend what should be a positive and enriching three days within the exquisite School of Law building.

Each day between 11.30am – 1pm, engaging talks will be delivered by professionals from the charity sector on a range of wellbeing issues including self-care and dealing with unhelpful thoughts. The short talks are tailored to provoke thought and inspire positive action whilst causing minimal disruption to the academic day.

Free health checks will be provided by Cancer Focus NI aboard their keeping well van outside the Lanyon building.

Further to the day time events, evening activities have been arranged as to celebrate the ways in which healthy, active living can help relieve stress.

Why not join us for Pilates or a drumming session? (Both are free and may offer a perfect break from the books. Or,could be a prelude to your night out)

If you’d like to volunteer at the Wellness Week please email enquiries@michaelafoundation.com Or, make contact with either Little Penny Thoughts or the QUB/SMUCB Michaela Foundation Societies.
